  1. Bake and cool pie shell
  2. Melt and cool chocolate
  3. Beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy
  4. Add chocolate vanilla and cr of tartar and stir
  5. Beat in eggs and beat until fluffy
  6. Pour in cooled pie shell
  7. Refrigerate at least 4 hours
  8. Top with whipped cream and serve
