"Francis was a great baker that did all the desserts for a restaurant that I worked at during my college years. This was a huge seller and once I added it to my Thanksgiving menu it was a hit with my guests too. It is a quick and delicious embellishment to any pumpkin or sweet potato pie as you bring it out of the oven"

Original recipe yields 8 servings

  • Cook

  1. Cream together butter, both sugars and vanilla & cream.
  2. Stir in coconut and nuts.
  3. When you pie is done, pull it from the oven and turn on the broiler.
  4. Spoon on top of your hot pie as it comes out of the oven.
  5. Place 8 inches below the broiler and broil for 3 to 5 minutes or until bubbly.
