  1. In a skillet, heat oil and butter over medium heat. When oil is hot, but not smoking, add and brown cumin seeds, about 1 minute. Immediately add onions and stir-fry a minute. Stir in chopped broccoli.
  2. Add ground cumin and salt. Cook broccoli until crisp-tender, about 3 minutes.
  3. Warm cooked rice in microwave for a minute. Add rice to broccoli mixture and stir until well blended.
