"I do not eat sweet barbecue sauces, so I never buy store brands witch is mostly corn syrup, and sugar with so called natural flavorings."

  1. place 1 cup of hickory wood chips into a 2 cup measuring cup, fill with water and allow it to set until you are ready to cook.
  2. Put the chips on coals, or if your using a gas grill in a wood chip box and set it on the lower rack.
  3. Put chicken in the grill on the top rack, at a low burner setting for 45 mins.
  4. After one hour coat chicken with sauce and turn after 5 mins.
  5. Coat the chicken once more and again, turn after 5 mins.
  6. the chicken is now ready to eat with what ever side dishes you wish to have, like corn on the cob, beans, grilled potatoes etc....
