  1. In a heavy 4 to 5 quart soup pot, brown the beef with the salt and Italian seasoning- crumbling as it cooks.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients EXCLUDING soup and water and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 45 minutes. Stir in the soup and water and simmer uncovered an additional 45 minutes.
