Rita's Tupperware Whole Wheat Bread

"When we lived in Oklahoma there was a contest to come up with a whole wheat bread recipe for Tupperware. I was lucky enough to win the contest. My family liked the Bread called Hillbilly Bread and the company was going to quit making it and that was my goal to get a close match taste with that brand of bread. I use the large green bowl to make this in. I was even luck enough to win a couple of blue ribbons at county and state fair with this recipe."

  1. Pour liquid into well in flour. Do not stir.
  2. Seal, burp and wait until seal pops off. DO NOT BREAK SEAL.
  3. Melt 1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter or margarine and pour into bowl and mix.
  4. Knead to proper dough consistency. Add more flour if necessary. Seal, burp and wait till seal pops.
  5. Knead and roll out. (Makes 3 loaves of bread. You may also use to make about 3 dozen dinner rolls.) I would make dozen clover rolls and 2 loafs of bread with this recipe.
  6. Let rise in pan 20 minutes.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees until brown about 35-45 minutes for loafs and 15-20 for dinner rolls.
