Put everything in a pot except salt. I use bacon ends and pieces, there are some big thick pieces to use, and some bacon fat, not much like what looks like 2 pieces of regular bacon, for the fat, use as mucc meat as you want. Bring to boil
turn down to simmer and simmer for 40 minutes, add salt, and more water if you want more juice. Simmer 20 minutes more. I like it with rice.
