Kayda's Shepard's Pie

"My daughter doesn't like traditional shepard's pie, so I modified a basic recipe until I found one she (and the rest of the family) loves! They devour every bite! It also freezes well, I sometimes make up a double batch and freeze one for a busy day."

  1. Combine ground meat and gravy in bottom of baking dish.
  2. Top with green beans and corn.
  3. Cook potatoes until soft, mash with butter and milk.
  4. Stir in bacon, 1/2 cup cheese, and montreal chicken seasoning with the potatoes.
  5. Top meat and potato mixture with potatoes.
  6. Cover with glass lid or foil and bake at 350 for 30 mins.
  7. Remove from oven, top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
  8. Return to oven, uncovered, for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.


I made this dish for the 'Why doesn't anyone make my recipe?' challenge. I thought this was a good starting point for shepherd's pie, but needs some tweaking. Between the meat, gravy, butter, ch...
