  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Combine cheddar cheese, butter, and flour in a food processor and process until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
  3. Continue processing for several more seconds until the mixture forms a ball.
  4. Chill, wrapped, for about 30 minutes.
  5. Shape into 1 1/2 inch balls and place 1 inch apart on baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven, and press thumb into top of each ball to make an indentation. Spoon about 1 tsp. of hot pepper jelly into indentation.
  8. Bake for 5 minutes longer or until golden brown.
  9. Makes 20 to 24 pieces.
