In saucepan melt butter and sugar mixing well, just as it starts to bubble pour over crackers and spread with a spatula to cover completely.
Put in oven for 8-10 min, watch carefully for the pan to bubble, remove and sprinkle chocolate chips, put back in oven if necessary to melt chocolate chips. Spread chocolate with spatula and sprinkle almond slivers over top. Put in freezer to cool and cut or break into small pieces after about 20-30 minutes. Store in the fridge during summer weather.
