  1. Mix together yogurt or sour cream, cream of chicken soup, and ranch powder in one bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together refried beans, salsa, chiles, and taco seasoning.
  3. Spread a thin layer of the soup mixture on the bottom of a 13x9" casserole dish.
  4. Tear tortillas into halves and quarters, and arrange in a single layer on top of the soup mixture.
  5. Spread half of the bean mixture on top, then half the remaining soup mixture on top, then half of the cheese.
  6. Repeat layers - tortillas, then remaining bean mixture, remaining soup mixture, and remaining cheese.
  7. Spread jalapeno slices on top if desired.
  8. Bake in preheated oven at 350 for 30 minutes. Let stand at least 15 minutes before serving.
