in a medium sized saucepan combine cream and cream cheese over low heat, mixing every so often so it doesnt burn or stick. Meanwhile fry onion and bacon until browned, once cream and cream cheese mixture is combined add french onoion soup mix, stir in, mixture will slowly thicken, add onion and bacon and handful of cheese. Put to the side.
Chop a "lid" off the cob loaf andpull bread out to make a hollow bowl, put bread aside, for 10 minutes in a moderate (180 degrees)oven put the cob on a tray without the lid and toast in oven for 5- 10 mins
just to lightly toast the inside. Fill cob with mixture put lid on and again toast for another 5 mins. If you like your bread pieces toasted place in the oven with the cob for the last 5 minutes.
