"I served this meal to friends at a BBQ a few summers ago. A few of them had never tried chili before and some had, but didn't like it. But after trying this meal, EVERYONE loved it. Please try this out. I won't be disappointed."

  1. In a large pot cook/crisp chopped bacon over medium heat
  2. When crispy remove bacon and place in separate bowl
  3. Deglaze the pot with 1/3 of the Jack Daniels using a wooden spoon to release all bits of bacon stuck to the bottom
  4. Add onions and saute for 8 minutes, add carrots and continue to cook for 5 more minutes
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste
  6. In a separate pan cook ground beef
  7. Puree 3 chipotle peppers in blender with 1/4 cup water
  8. In the pot with onions and carrots, add all spices, chipotle pepper puree and mix
  9. Add crisp bacon back to pot, mix, and add another 1/3 of Jack Daniels, mix
  10. Add can of diced tomatoes and mix
  11. Add ground beef and mix
  12. Add white navy beans and mix
  13. Add remaining 1/3 of Jack Daniels
  14. Once bottle of Jack Daniels is finished add enough water to cover chili
  15. Bring to boil and then simmer on low for 3 to 4 hours or until most of the water is evaporated
  16. Serve
