  1. In a large bowl cream Crisco and sugar with electric mixer until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time beating after each addition, then add the vanilla.
  2. In a separate bowl combine together the baking soda, baking powder, salt and flour.
  3. Add the flour mixture to the Crisco mixture alternating with the buttermilk.
  4. Bake at 350 in a greased tube (Bundt) pan for 1 hour or until done.
  5. Sprinkle with confectionery sugar when cool.
