"This was originally a cookie recipe which I modified into brownies. A terrific use for those over ripe bananas."

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine oats, sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, stir together mashed banana, eggs and butter.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry, add nuts and chocolate chips, and mix until combined.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until top springs back when gently pressed.
  6. Allow to cool completely before cutting.

these were very moist. i didn't think the banana flavor shined as much as other reviewers thought... it was more of a hint for me. i left out the nuts, but i would probably add them next time....
