  1. 1. In a large bowl, cream together butter, vanilla and sugar.
  2. 2. Beat in eggs and sour cream, being sure to mix well.
  3. 3. Slowly mix in baking soda and flour. Add flour until dough is fairly stiff for rolling. (Cookies are meant to be on the dry side).
  4. 4. Wrap dough in saran wrap and chill overnight.
  5. 5. Preheat oven to 400.
  6. 6. On a floured surface, roll out dough to about 1/4? thick.
  7. 7. Use a round cookie cutter to cut out cookies.
  8. 8. Put cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  9. 9. Bake cookies for 8 minutes (cookies should not turn golden).
  10. 10. Allow cookies to cool on a wire rack.
