  1. Boil potatoes when done drain and reserve one cup of starchy water. Leave potatoes to drain.
  2. In a large stock pot fry bacon. Two minutes before the bacon is done, add diced onion and garlic.
  3. Add flour red pepper flakes and pepper cook about a minute it will bind up a little.
  4. Add reserve starchy water and milk siring constantly.
  5. Add potatoes, corn and ham (you can use a little of the liquid from the corn OR a little more milk if you are not finding enough liquid in the pot) still stirring constantly.
  6. Once everything is combined and you are satisfied with the amount of liquid in the pot add cheese stir in well.
  7. Turn heat to med-low cover and stir about every 10mins till cheese is melted.
