Slow Cooker Red Wine Beef Stew

Maria 0

"This is a tweaked version of my Mom's recipe...tastes great the first day...better the second. The cheaper the red wine the better! Serve with hot french bread or biscuits."

  1. Cut potatoes, carrots, beef and onion into even, bite size pieces.
  2. Add steak seasoning to flour and mix. Coat beef with flour mixture (I use a brown paper bag...add the flour and then the beef, a little at at time...shake to coat)
  3. Heat oil in a large pan. Saute garlic. Add floured beef to pan and brown pieces on all sides.
  4. In crock pot, mix tomato soup, diced tomatoes w/liquid, beef broth, red wine and baking soda in crock pot. Add vegetables, garlic and beef to crock pot. Add salt and pepper. Cook on high for 6 hours. Enjoy!
