"This is an awesomely delicious recipe I found in a magazine. The pastry is beatifully flaky and the strawberry preserves compliment it perfectly. It also isn't that difficult to make. I really luv this recipe. I hope you luv it as much as I do. :3 Enjoy!"

  1. 1: In large bowl whisk flour, salt, and sugar together. Add butter. Using fingers or fork blend mixture with flour until it resembles coarse meal. Add water a Tablespoon at a time, tossing until moist clumps are formed. Gather dough and divide in half to form to disks. Wrap in plastic and chill for at least an hour.
  2. 2: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. One disk at a time, roll dough out on a floured surface. Make a 12x10 inch rectangle, then cut into eight 5x3-inch rectangles.
  3. 3: Arrange 8 rectangles on the baking sheet spoon 1 1/2 Tablespoons of preserves on each of the arranged rectangles. Lay down the rest of rectangles on the arranged ones. Gently press down with your fingers the edges of the tart to seal it. Then to double seal the tart, press the edges with a fork. Poke each tart with the fork. Cover up. Freeze tarts on sheet for 2hrs or up to a week.{You could easily make these ahead of time; like a day or 2 before a special day}
  4. 4: Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Uncover and bake frozen tarts until nice and golden 25-30 minutes, reversing pan after 15 minutes {it's normal if some preserves leak out}. Immediately transfer tarts to a cooling rack.

  6. You can sprinkle the tarts with powdered sugar, serve them with fresh strawberries, and/or warm with a nice big scoop of vanilla icecream.
  7. Enjoy!!!! ;)
