Apple-stuffed Turkey

  1. 1) Preheat oven to 375 F.
  2. 2) Remove giblets and neck fron body cavities of thawed turkey. Unbind legs.
  3. 3) Place turkey in roasting pan and rub all over with oil including the interior body cavities. This seals the juices inside while cooking.
  4. 4) Quarter apples and remove seeds leaving 4 to 6 whole apples on the side -- do not peel.
  5. 5) Stuff body cavities with apples and place whole apples around turkey in roasting pan.
  6. 6) Bake covered for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until skin of turkey is well toasted and the meat is beginning to fall off the legs.
  7. 7) Drain off juice and make a wonderful gravy with a little bit of flour.
  8. 8) Carve turkey and enjoy!
