  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, pumpkin and water, mixing well.
  3. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spices. Add to pumpkin mixture. Stir in nuts and raisins.
  4. Put into 2 loaf pans and put in oven. Bake for 1 hour. Test for doneness.
