  1. Slice the chilli pepper into small pieces
  2. Bring 1 1/2 cup water to boil in a medium size pot
  3. Add chilli pepper, including seeds, into the boiling water
  4. Boil the water and chilli pepper for 5-10 minutes
  5. Strain the chilli pepper out of the water and then return the water to the pot
  6. Add the 4 cups of water to the pot and bring to a slow boil
  7. Add the cocoa powder and vanilla extract to the boiling water
  8. Stir the ingredients for 5-10 minutes, or until the cocoa powder is completely dissolved
