  1. split chicken legs into thighs and drums
  2. heat oil in a large duch oven
  3. brown chicken on both sides in batches remove from pan
  4. add butter to the same pan with onions and peppers until they start to sweat
  5. add garlic paprika and red pepper flakes and saute for a few minutes, do not burn
  6. add flour and stir, cook for about a minute
  7. add tomatos
  8. add wine and wisk let reduce
  9. add chicken stock and let thicken slightly
  10. place reserved chicken back into pot and simmer for up to an hour until chicken is cooked through
  11. when cooked, remove chicken and remove skin and meat from bones discard refuse and place the chicken abck into the warm pot, you may skim off the grease before this step
  12. when you are ready to serve, in a bowl combine 1 ladel of the sauce with the sour cream and stir to temper the cream then stir into larger pot
  13. enjoy over egg noodles or spatzle.
