Cut loaf of thawed bread into 12 pieces. Then cut each of the 12 pieces into 3 pieces, for a total of 36. Roll each piece into a ball and then dip into melted butter. Then roll the ball in the Parmesan cheese.
Place three of the coated balls in each muffin cup. Let rise until they have doubled in size (5-7 hours depending on room temperature).
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 375 F. Brush with melted butter when taken out if desired.
