  1. In a food processor, blend all the ingredients for the marinade thoroughly. It will have the consistency of a semi-thick paste.
  2. Remove 1/4 cup marinade for basting the chicken later.
  3. Score the chicken pieces, sprinkle some salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the marinade over the chicken pieces, mix well to coat.
  5. Marinate in the refrigerator, covered, for at least 2 hours.
  6. Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat, lightly oil the grate.
  7. Grill the marinated chicken pieces for 10-15 minutes, turning them as necessary.
  8. baste the chicken pieces often with the reserved marinade too keep the pieces moist and juicy.
  9. remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before enjoying.
