Caramel Apple Bread


"Recipe I made up when I wanted to make banana bread but discovered I had no bananas. This recipe is great if you are really angry or high energy because you can use a meat tenderizer or rolling pin to smash the daylights out of the apples. Excellent for destructive children. Just don't let them get too out of control..."

  1. Mix first 4 ingredients in a bowl until smooth. Add baking soda and salt. Beat into flour until batter is smooth. Mix in caramel, then apple chunks. Pour into well-greased 1 1/2 quart bread pan, or whatever else you have that is similar. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes, or until toothpick comes out smooth.
