  1. Mix maple syrup, butter and water in large sauce pan and bring to a boil. Mix dry ingredients and cut in butter. Add milk to form dough. Drop spoonfuls of dough into the boiling syrup. Cover and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
  2. Serve hot; plain or with ice cream
