"Inspired by the Chewy Granola Bars on this site, I created a recipe unfettered with guilty calories of butter, white flour, an simple sugar. The peanut butter is very faint, but still delicious an full of protein!!"
Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray a 9x13in pan or larger.
In a large bowl, toss oats, rice krispies, flour, and bran to evenly distribute. Thoroughly combine honey, peanut butter, baking soda, and vanilla. Should be sticky to the touch; should not fall apart when pressed.
Add mix-ins to taste.
Firmily press mixture evenly into prepared pan; the firmer the better to ensure its compactantness.
Bake in oven for approx. 15 minutes. Let cool before cutting.
