"I was searching for a quick and easy breakfast for a group of picky youngsters and came up with my own super easy breakfast sausage loaf from ingredients normally found in any fridge. This can be as basic as dinner rolls/sausage/eggs/cheese...or jazz it up a bit with onions and green peppers."

  1. 1. Place sausage in a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat and cook until evenly brown and crumbled. Set aside.
  2. 2. Wipe skillet clean and add butter, melt.
  3. 3. Whip eggs, milk, salt and pepper to taste. The key is in the texture (easy on the milk). To make them creamy in texture, you need to cook them slowly over low heat. Let the eggs cook undisturbed until they begin to set, then stir them off the bottom of the pan gently. Continue cooking until the eggs are the consistency you like.
  4. 4. Spray 9x5 loaf pan, roll out 3/4 (6 triangles) of crescent roll dough and line bottom and sides of pan. Add sausage, scrambled eggs, cheese and then top with remaining 1/4 (2 triangles) of crescent roll dough. pinch corners/sides.
  5. 5. Bake in heated oven, 375 degrees C, 25-30min until golden brown on top.
