"Simple beef dinner presented as Au Jus sammys. I served with some sliced strawberries to welcome in the first Saturday in spring.(Spent day outside with my family, let the crock do the cooking)"

Original recipe yields 6 servings

  1. Put onion,garlic and mushrooms on bottom of crock
  2. Put beef on top.
  3. Mix in bowl::broth, water, seasonings, and Worcestershire
  4. Pour atop sliced beef,
  5. Do not mix in Crock.
  6. Cook on low 4 - 6 hours.
  7. Serve on rolls with Au Jus/ Gravy.
  8. For Au Jus/Gravy, after removing meat strain liquid into saucepan add 2 T cornstarch and reduce on medium-low for approx 10 minutes while rolls get toasted in 350* oven. Serve with sammy as either gravy or dip
