  1. Simmer cranberries until they become a thick sauce (just after they've all popped). *use 1 1/2 cup of the sauce for the recipe. Set aside.
  2. In a seperate bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Add the sour cream and cranberries. Add flour, soda, and orange rind.
  3. Bake 1 hour in a greased 9 by 5 in. pan, at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. Sprinkle top with powdered sugar and serve.
