"I purchased a bag of pecans that tasted like I was eating a pecan pie with every nut and I had to come up with the recipe so I could make them at home. This is the recipe that I invented. I gave them as gifts Christmas 2009 and everybody loved them. Good luck trying to eat just one!"

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Grease baking sheet.
  2. In a mixing bowl, stir together brown sugar, white sugar, salt and cinnamon until well blended.
  3. In another mixing bowl, mix egg whites and vanilla on medium to high speed until frothy.
  4. Add pecans to the egg and vanilla extract frothy mixture and gently stir until they are all coated. Gradually pour brown sugar, white sugar, salt and cinnamon mixture over the pecans and gently stir until all the pecans are coated with the powder mixture.
  5. Spread nuts out on greased baking sheet.
  6. In 250 degree oven, bake 15 minutes then stir and after stirring you will drizzle one tablespoon of corn syrup over all nuts. You will do this every 15 minutes until pecans have been in the oven a total of one hour.
  7. Cool completely at room temperature and gently break apart pecans that have stuck together. Store in airtight container.
