Circus Freaks

J.S.

"A crazy combination of banana, peanut butter, bacon, and chocolate...yeah hence the name. I was inspired to create this concoction by a burger known as the Elvis which came topped with bacon and peanut butter."

  1. Take your bananas and cut them into wheel shaped slices approximately an inch tall then cut in half to make half moons. Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on the bottom edge (flat part) of banana.
  2. Melt the dipping chocolate and cook bacon either in a pan stove top or in an oven until crisp and fully cooked. You want firm bacon but not overly crunchy.
  3. slice bacon into squares the size of the banana pieces
  4. place each banana piece onto a square of bacon so that the bacon sticks to the peanut butter, then using a tooth pick, skewer the banana (making sure to attach the bacon) and dip into chocolate until covered.
  5. place treat, tooth pick and all, onto wax paper and cool in refridgerater to let chocolate harden (approx 5-10 min)
