  1. Heat water in a saucepan on medium-low.
  2. Stir in granulated sugar and continue to stir until dissolved.
  3. Stir in brown sugar and salt.
  4. Melt butter in the sugar mixture while beating the eggs.
  5. Beat eggs and vanilla in a separate bowl.
  6. Stir 2-3 tablespoons of hot sugar mixture into the eggs a little at a time to bring eggs up to temperature slowly without cooking them.
  7. Slowly stir egg mixture into pan.
  8. Stir in pecans.
  9. Increase temperature to medium heat and stir mixture until it starts to bubble and thicken.
  10. Reduce heat to the lowest setting.
  11. Spread onto pancakes.
  12. Enjoy
