Cranberry Chutney (A dressed up sauce)


"I love Cranberries and so this recipe was perfect for me, but it also went over well with the pickier people in my family- It's not too bitter or too sweet. The pecans give it a nice texture for those texture people out there (ie. My Mother). Try making it the day prior to serving to let the flavors mingle."

  1. Wash and rinse the cranberries.
  2. Wash apple, core and chop into med/small squares.
  3. Add all ingredients to a med size pan.
  4. Cook on Med heat until boiling (at this point the cranberries will just start to pop)
  5. Reduce to a simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Let sit until cooled. Sauce will thicken a little as it cools.
