"This is such a super easy dessert and so wonderful no one will think it only took you a short time to throw it together. The bottom is a soft, creamy layer of peanut butter candy. The second layer is chocolate pudding and top with whipped cream or cool whip. After you finish putting the top on, adding a garnish of chocolate curls or makes it look so professional. It's a definite, "Aw, shucks, twern't nothing', I just make stuff like this when I don't care what I'm servin'", type dessert. You can also make it in a 9 x 13 baking dish. If you do, don't use a pie crust but finely chopped pecans."

  • Prep

  • Cook

  1. Line a 8" or 9" pie pan with pie crust.
  2. Using the tines of a fork, poke several holes in crust and bake until lightly browned or use the blind bake method.
  3. If you are using a cookie crust, using the soft butter and mix with cookie crumbs and finely chopped nuts. Crust should be about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Refrigerate crust until the rest of the pie is ready.
  5. Mix Peanut Butter Candy ingredients together well and press into a pie pan or a 8 x 8 or 9 x 13 baking dish. You may end having to use your hands to finish mixing the peanut butter layer, I usually do.
  6. When crust is cooled, spread the peanut butter candy evenly over crust.
  7. Make the box of Chocolate Pudding either instant or cooked as directed on the box. If you use cooked pudding you must allow it to cool or it will melt everything else.
  8. When pudding has cooled, spread over Peanut Butter candy layer.
  9. Place in refrig until completely cold. Serve topped with whipped cream or a cool whip type product.
  10. If you are using a 9 x 13 baking dish instead of a pie pan, don't use the pie crust and you will have to double the ingredients.
  11. Same as the pie, spread the peanut butter candy layer evenly over bottom of the crushed cookie crust in the baking dish.
  12. Add chocolate pudding layer.
  13. You can spread a layer of whipped cream or topping over pudding layer and add the chocolate curls for decortion.
  14. OR
  15. Cut into squares to serve and top with a dollop of whipped cream or cool whip and garnish with chocolate curls or chocolate sprinkles.
  16. Before you put the square in the serving dish, swirl chocolae syrup in a pretty design on the dessert plate first.
