Preheat oven to 350. Cut butter into 1/2 inch pieces & process all ingredients for shortbread in food processor until mixed & evenly press into 13x9 inch pan. Bake in the middle of the oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
For the topping, chop pecans coarsely in processor. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan. Stir in brown sugar, honey & cream. Simmer mixture, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Stir in pecans.
Pour pecan mixture over hot shortbread & spread evenly. Bake in the middle of the oven until bubbling, about 17-18 minutes. Cool completely & cut into bars.
