"This isn't like a regular cake. It can be frosted but the family prefers just to eat it like a bar. So easy because you don't peal the apples."

  1. Pre heat oven to 350
  2. Mix the apples and the cranberries with the sugar to coat.
  3. In a seperate bowl mix all the dry ingredients.
  4. In a large measure cup mix the wet ingredients.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the apples and cranberries. Stir in the wet ingredients.
  6. Batter will be very thick. Spoon into large pyrex baking dish and smooth with the back on the spoon.
  7. Bake at 350 for about 35 minutes. Until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  8. Cool. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Great recipe, very moist. No icing needed. Used dried cranberries since that is what I had. Will try fresh next time!
