Greggae's Bacon Trout

"I took my 3 year old fishing for the first time and we caught two trout. I never made trout before. I litterally made this recipe up as I went with what I found in the kitchen. I checked other recipes to get cooking times. I went a little longer on the cooking time because of the bacon. I'm only posting this because the entire family loved it."

  1. Soften butter (half melted)
  2. add squeezed lemon Juice
  3. Add garlic, jalepeno, garlic and dill
  4. sea salt and pepper to taste
  5. Mix together into a paste
  6. Place trout on a sheet of foil and stuff with paste;
  7. place 1 strip of bacon over paste in abdomen.
  8. Wrap and seal trout in foil
  9. Preheat oven or grill to 400.
  10. for oven place foil in pyrex 9x13 pan
  11. Bake for 26 min.
  12. If using a grill
  13. Place foil dirctly on grill
  14. and flip at 11 minute mark.
  15. cook for 22 minutes.
  16. Pull fish out and let sit in foil for 5 minutes.
  17. Unwrap and discard bacon.
  18. Fish should be white and skin will peel right off. Fish will fall right off the bone.
