  1. For the Glaze:
  2. Combine all the ingredients for the glaze and set aside.
  3. Prep the Roast Turkey:
  4. After the turkey is rinsed and patted dry
  5. brush the turkey inside and out with the olive oil.
  6. In a small bowl combine the thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Sprinkle the turkey with the seasonings and transfer it to
  8. your turkey roasting pan.
  9. Roast the turkey for 2 hours at 325 degrees.
  10. Brush the turkey with the glaze and continue to roast for
  11. about 2 hrs more. Make sure to baste using the glaze frequently.
  12. When inserting a meat thermometer make sure it reads 180 degrees.
  13. Best place on a turkey to get a good reading is in the thigh.
  14. Take your turkey and transfer it to your serving platter.
  15. Let is rest and ready to serve in 25 minutes.
  16. I do not stuff the turkey.
  17. I make my own stuffing on the side and serve in a festive dish.
