  1. place warm mashed potatoes into a bowl
  2. sift in flour, salt and add melted butter.
  3. mix lightly until a dough forms.
  4. on a well floured surface, knead the dough lightly (the dough will be sticky)
  5. use a floured rolling pin to flatten into a 9inch circle about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. cut into 1/4's usin a floured knife
  7. sprinkle a little flour over a skillet and cook the farls for 3mins on each side or until evenly browned.
  8. season with a little salt and serve straight away.
