  1. Prepare rice according to directions, this can be done ahead of time.
  2. In a large fry pan heat canola oil and cook chicken till it's just done.
  3. Add water chestnuts and saute for about 3 minutes.
  4. Add chili oil, soy sauce and asparagus and saute until asparagus is tender.
  5. Add green onion and butter and cook for about 2 more minutes.
  6. Add wild rice to pan and heat through.
