  1. First measure out sugar and set it to the side. Add corn oil and popping corn to large pot, and then turn the stove on to a medium heat. When the first couple of kernels pop throw in the all of the sugar, then quickly put a lid on. The sugar will cause the popping to stop. Agitate the popcorn in circular motion on the stove. The kernels will start popping make sure lid is on tight and continue to agitate. When popping slows down to one pop every two to three seconds pull of heat, keep shaking until popping ceases. Pour into a large bowl and let cool, BE CAREFULL the melted sugar is extremely HOT! After it has cooled break up the clumps of popcorn by hand, salt to taste and enjoy
