  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Bring the beer and butter to a boil.
  3. When the butter is melted, add the flour and salt.
  4. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture pulls away from the sides of the pan.
  5. Remove from the heat.
  6. Beat in the eggs one at a time until blended.
  7. Drop by 1/2 teaspoonfuls 1 inch apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. For larger portions, use 1 rounded teaspoonful.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes.
  9. Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees and bake another 10 minutes.
  10. Let cool.
  11. Split the puffs with scissors and refrigerate until ready to fill.
  12. Prepare filling by combining all ingredients. Chill filling.
  13. When ready to serve, fill the puffs with the filling, cover and refrigerate.
