"My mother cannot exceed 2000mg of sodium, so I am experimenting and came up with a chicken stew that can be eaten alone or as a base for chicken pot pies. It is very thick and Mom loved it and thought it was very tastey."

  1. Boil boneless, skinless chicken without adding any salt or spices until done – no longer pink (reserve 1 cup liquid).
  2. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Cook broth and vegetables until carrots are tender.
  4. Dissolve flour in the water then add to the broth.
  5. Cook on medium while stirring until thickened.
  6. Add chicken and reserved liquid.
