  1. Cook pasta al dente or to desired tenderness. Pass pasta under cold water in a colander to quickly cool it. Drain well, and put in a large bowl.
  2. Add carrot, onion, cucumber, celery and salmon to pasta. Mix well to combine.
  3. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well, then pour over pasta mixture. Stir to coat pasta evenly.
