"With all the healthy in them, they actually taste really really good! the applesauce is a replacement for any oil and makes the cookies stay moist. wheat and dairy free for my sister's allergen needs. Chili powder added for an extra kick! enjoy!"

  1. pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a small bowl, beat egg and stir in apple sauce, butter, cinnamon and chili powder.
  3. In a large bowl, sift in flour and add sugar, flax seed and chocolate chips. add liquid mixture and stir to combine. If the mixture seems runny, add another few tablespoons of flour to it until it isn't runny anymore.
  4. drop by heaping tablespoons onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper 2 inches apart. bake for 7-8 minutes or until light golden brown. allow to cool and firm before transferring to wire rack.
