Traditional Anginettes


"These are a traditional Italian cookie made for any special occasion. They are very good, but take a little work. Bring to a party and they will disappear! This is the recipe handed down through my husbands family from Italy. Enjoy!"

  1. Mix wet ingredients in extra large bowl.
  2. Combine Dry Ingredients thoroughly in medium bowl
  3. One cup at a time add dry ingredients to wet ensuring that it is well combined.
  4. If you have a stand mixer with a dough hook or a food processor this will help smooth out the dough. Or mix/kneed with your hands until smooth. (coating you hands in a bit of oil will help it not stick.
  5. Take by heaping tablespoons and Roll into balls.
  6. Squish the balls to flatten a little bit and place on a cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes- do not over cook and they should not be overly browned.
  8. Cool completly before frosting

  10. Stir to combine and make sure there are no sugar lumps. Dip each baked cookie to coat tops,add sprinkles for decoration if desired.
