  1. Drain salmon completely and discard any bones and skins
  2. In large bowl mix salmon, lemon juice, and mayonnaise until well combined
  3. Add in onion and garlic
  4. Add bread crumbs and cheese
  5. Mix by hand until well combined
  6. Cover and refrigerate 10 minutes
  7. Heat oil in large pan
  8. Remove salmon mixture from refrigerator and shape patties by hand
  9. Add to skillet and cook approx. 5 min. each side until brown and crispy on exterior
