  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch glass casserole dish with a lid.
  2. In food processor, empty 1 bag of corn & pulse until the corn is broken up.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, make a roux of the butter and flour. Add the spices and sugar, mix well. Add the half and half slowly, stirring constantly until mixture thickens up. If too thick, add more half and half or milk to your sauce, a tablespoon at a time
  4. Mix in the corn then transfer the mixture to the prepared casserole dish.
  5. Sprinkle with cheese, and top with bread crumbs.
  6. Bake 20 minutes with lid on in the preheated oven.
  7. Turn oven to low broil, remove lid & broil for 5 minutes or until lightly browned & mixture is bubbly.
